When women delivers baby, it is often imagine that she is joyous and happy at the arrival of the new member in the family, and everything is just wonderful. But this is not the case with every woman; their reality is quite different from this assumption. Often women find uncomfortably in their own bodies, crying uncontrollably, suffering from hormonal shifts, etc. All these bring the negative feeling that is often known as postpartum depression.
This depression also brings due to changes that the responsibility of caring for a child brings to their life. Mostly women try to hide her negative feeling and depression as it is the matter of shame. This depression can decrease by the families, friends and doctors surrounding new mothers. These people should be knowledgeable enough about the symptoms of postpartum depression in new moms.
If it is not treated in the proper manner this can cause negative affect and possibly turn into postpartum psychosis. So it is necessary that the people around new mother knows the symptoms of depression and turn for help. Some of the symptoms are:
- This can be occurred within 6 month after baby is born.
- Loss of appetite
- Sleeping more than usual
- Feeling restless and irritable
- Continuously worrying
- Uncontrollably crying
- Thoughts of hurting self or baby
- Less energy and motivation to complete daily tasks
Women having history of depression is at higher risk of developing this depression. That is why family and friends should support the mother and offer her assistance if she needed. If women encounter martial problems or other stressful event during pregnancy are also increased risks of developing postpartum depression.

Depression is a common problem and today’s it affects millions of people lifestyle. Waiting too long can have shocking effects. Depression is the only number one cause of suicide, and it can be treatable if we would only familiar the problem.
Suicide has a dishonor attached to it. Depression: Different Types and Symptoms

Psychotic Depression:

Melancholic Depression
It is primarily caused by biological factors and affecting only around 1-2% of the population and same number of males and females. It can occur on its own part of Bipolar Disorder.
Major Depression
A person with major depression feels a thoughtful and constant sense of depression and despair. Major depression is combination of symptoms that obstruct with the ability to work, study, sleep, eat and enjoy once pleasurable activities.
Cyclothymic disorder
Cyclothymic disorder is when a person has alternating mood swings of excitement and depression. Often, a person with cyclothymic disorder has a relative with bipolar disorder.
Psychotic depression –
Psychosis involves seeing things that are not there present, feeling everyone is against you and having delusions.
Non-melancholic
It has to do with psychological causes, and is very often connected stressful events in a person’s life or in conjunction with the individual’s personality style.
Non-melancholic depression is the three types of depression.

Recent economic condition is the subject of worry. Some people said this recession has the latent to be the threat to the American economy since the Great Depression. Let’s give the light at the similarities and the differences between current economic situation and the Great Depression.
The Great Depression was the most significant factor in the U.S. economy. One of the major factors that caused the Great Depression was the splendidly asymmetrical allocation of wealth among the rich and the middle class people. In the 1920’s, the top 1% of all Americans had a joint earnings equal to the bottom 42% while nowadays the top 5% richest Americans have a combined income equal to the bottom 53% so it is approaching a dangerous point in the economic state.
One more cause of the Great Depression was the wide stock market rumors that occurred in the late 1920’s. That’s why the market got to artificially high prices. To see these prices, investors involved for quick ways to make money. However, the market finally reached a regardless investing of the company’s earnings. This unselective investing was the reason of artificial highs in the prices of stocks and called Black Tuesday.
